What Mobil 1 is
Mobil 1 is ExxonMobil's full synthetic motor oil. It isn't one oil. Mobil makes separate Mobil 1 products for everyday gasoline engines, European cars, high-performance cars and diesel trucks, and each one comes in its own set of weights.
We carry five Mobil 1 products so we can match what your owner's manual asks for, and we pour it from a factory-sealed bottle opened in front of you.

Mobil 1 full synthetic, everyday grades

Mobil's main line for modern gasoline cars, SUVs and trucks. The 5W-20, 5W-30 and 10W-30 carry the Advanced Full Synthetic name. Mobil sells its 0W-20 as Advanced Fuel Economy and its 10W-40 as High Mileage, made for engines past 75,000 miles.
Mobil 1 FS European Car Formula

Made for European gasoline and diesel engines that don't have a diesel particulate filter. Mobil lists approvals from BMW, Mercedes-Benz, Porsche and Volkswagen for this series.
Mobil 1 ESP

Made for newer European gasoline and diesel cars. It's low in ash, which Mobil says helps keep diesel particulate filters from clogging, and low in sulfur and phosphorus to protect the catalytic converter.

Which cars each one suits
Most everyday gasoline cars and trucks, from Toyota and Honda to Ford and GM, take the everyday line in whatever weight the manual lists. Older engines with high miles can take the 10W-40 High Mileage when the manual allows that weight.
European cars are where the choice matters most. An older BMW, Mercedes-Benz, Audi, Volkswagen or Porsche without a particulate filter usually gets European Car Formula. A newer one, or any European diesel with a particulate filter, usually needs ESP. High-performance cars that call for 0W-40 or 5W-50 get Supercar, and diesel pickups get Turbo Diesel Truck.
We match the spec in your owner's manual, not a chart on our wall. If the manual names a carmaker approval, we check the bottle against it before we pour. For a European car you can also compare with our MOTUL oil change.
The filter we use
A new metal spin-on oil filter made by IFA Metro Street. On European cars we use IFA Metro Street when it's in stock for your model, and otherwise a MANN, Hengst or MAHLE filter. If your car uses a cartridge-style filter instead of a spin-on, call with your year, make and model for the price.
Price and what's included
A Mobil 1 oil change is from $139. That price includes tax and the $5 environmental fee, along with 5 quarts of Mobil 1, a new spin-on filter, a multi-point check, fluid top-offs and tire pressure. If your engine takes more than 5 quarts, the extra oil is billed separately. The $15 coupon takes it to $124.

For diesels we carry Shell Rotella T6 full synthetic in 5W-40 and 15W-40, Chevron Delo synthetic blend 15W-40, and Valvoline heavy duty synthetic blend 15W-40.
