Perfect Lube does three tiers of oil change and eight maintenance services in a 10-minute drive-thru at 1792 El Camino Real. You stay in your car, the oil comes from a sealed bottle opened in front of you, and nothing gets replaced that you did not see first.
Some chains sell a numbered inspection. We would rather tell you exactly what we look at during every oil change, and what happens if we find something: if a filter is dirty or a fluid is worn, we hold it up and tell you. If it is fine, it goes back in and you hear nothing about it.
Three oil changes and eight maintenance services. Each one has its own page covering what it is, when it is due, what is included, and when we will tell you not to buy it.
Our lowest-priced oil change, for daily drivers and any car whose manual allows a blend. From $89.99 for 5 quarts of our house brand synthetic blend, a standard spin-on filter, tax and the $5 environmental fee, with extra quarts available for larger engines, in about 10 minutes. Our house brand full synthetic is also available, from $129.
The right choice for most cars built in the last ten years and for anything turbocharged. Mobil 1 full synthetic holds up longer between changes and protects better on cold starts. Poured from a sealed bottle opened in front of you. From $139 for 5 quarts, a standard spin-on filter, tax and the $5 environmental fee, with extra quarts available for larger engines.
Our highest tier, and the one Porsche, BMW, Audi, Mercedes-Benz, Volvo, Volkswagen, Corvette, and Range Rover owners come in for. MOTUL meets the manufacturer oil specs those engines call for, at about half the dealership price, in the same 10-minute lane. From $159 for 5 quarts, a standard spin-on filter, tax and the $5 environmental fee.
A free visual brake inspection comes with every oil change: pad thickness, rotor condition, and brake fluid. If the pads are worn we quote the job and explain it. If they are fine, you hear that instead.
Worn transmission fluid shifts harder, runs hotter, and is the usual start of a transmission repair bill. We check the fluid on the dipstick first. If it is moderately worn we exchange it for the fluid your manufacturer specifies; if it is already burnt black, the safer move on a high-mileage transmission is to leave it alone rather than flush it.
Coolant loses its corrosion protection long before it stops cooling, and the water pump and radiator pay for it. We look at the coolant in the reservoir, and if it is rusty or past your manual's interval we exchange it for the coolant type your engine was built for.
A pump that groans on cold mornings or steering that has gone heavy at parking speed usually means the fluid is dark and worn. We exchange it for the fluid your manufacturer specifies. If your car has electric power steering, there is no fluid to change and we will tell you so.
Rear-wheel, all-wheel, and four-wheel drive vehicles carry gear oil in a differential that has no filter, so wear metal stays in it until it is drained. Trucks that tow need it sooner. We refill with the gear oil weight your manufacturer lists, including limited-slip additive where required.
The engine air filter keeps dust and leaves out of the engine; the cabin air filter cleans the air coming through your vents. We pull both and hold them up for you during the oil change. Dirty ones get replaced while you sit in the car. Clean ones go back in for free.
Peninsula summers bake wiper rubber, and most people find out in the first November storm. We check the blades at every oil change, fit new ones sized for your windshield in a few minutes, and top off the washer fluid at no charge.
Plumbers, electricians, landscapers, delivery vans, real estate teams. Your drivers pull into the same drive-thru lane between jobs and stay in the vehicle. Fleet discounts are based on how many vehicles you run, and Net 30 billing is available for accounts of 10 or more.
Is the fluid or part actually worn? We look before we talk. Dark, burnt transmission fluid is a yes. Clear red fluid is a no.
Is it inside the interval in your owner's manual? If it is, we write the due mileage on your sticker and leave it. The Car Care Council's guide is a fair second opinion on intervals if you want one.
In California, a shop has to give you an estimate and get your approval before starting work. The Bureau of Automotive Repair spells out those rights. We quote it, you say yes or no, then we start.
Porsche, Audi, BMW, Mercedes-Benz, Volvo, Volkswagen, Corvette, Range Rover: the oil spec your manual lists, from a sealed bottle, in about 10 minutes, at half the dealership price.

No. Drive in Monday through Saturday between 9 AM and 5 PM. Oil changes, wiper blades, and air filters happen while you sit in the car. Transmission, coolant, differential, and power steering services take longer, so call first and we will tell you what to expect for your vehicle.
We look at the fluid first. If it is clean and you are inside the interval in your owner's manual, we tell you to wait. If it is dark, burnt, or past the interval, we tell you it is due and quote it. We do not sell services off a mileage chart.
Start with your owner's manual: it lists the viscosity and whether full synthetic is required. If it allows a blend and you drive an ordinary car, our house brand synthetic blend is the lowest cost. Most modern engines and anything turbocharged do better on Mobil 1 Full Synthetic. European and luxury cars get MOTUL, which meets the manufacturer specs those engines call for.
$15 OFF any oil change, or $20 OFF the MOTUL full synthetic oil change. Neither expires, and they cannot be combined with each other or with any other offer. Show the coupon on your phone at the window.
